There will be a Kelly community meeting later this week, when progress on a new fire department substation will be discussed.
The meeting is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Kelly Baptist Church on Madisonville Road and organizer Frank Brown says all residents of north Christian County are encouraged to attend.
He says information on progress of the Kelly substation for the West Side Volunteer Fire Department will be provided and there will be discussion of the 2019 Kelly Little Green Men Days festival.
A news release notes the playground and community clean-up day is this Saturday.
The local neighborhood watch and Community Emergency Response Team will be part of the meeting and representatives of several agencies have been invited to attend.
