Slight risk for severe weather Sunday

Western Kentucky and middle Tennessee are under a slight risk for severe weather Sunday.

The primary threat Sunday and Sunday night will be damaging winds, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah.

Rain and gusty winds will be likely, even outside of thunderstorms, throughout the day.

April is peak severe weather season and Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Shanklin recently spoke to the Pennyrile Area Development District about preparedness. We will air his remarks in their entirety Sunday morning at 9 on Lite Rock 98.7 and online at lite987whop.com.
