NCAA Final Four Roundup: Virginia & Texas Tech win semifinals, Women’s national title Sunday night

Kyle Guy sunk three free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining to send top-seed Virginia to the National Championship Game with a 63-62 win over five-seed Auburn in the Final Four in Minneapolis. Guy was fouled on a three-point attempt with time winding down and was sent to the line for the win. He finished with 15 points. Ty Jerome led the Cavaliers with 21 points. Samir Doughty led Auburn with 13 points. Bryce Brown added 12 for the Tigers, which finish the season at 30-and-10.

Matt Mooney scored 22 points to lead Texas Tech to a 61-51 win over Michigan State in the second semifinal. The Red Raiders improved to 31-6 with the win, while the Spartans finish the season 32-7. Texas Tech meets Virginia in the National Championship game Monday night.

Meanwhile, Baylor and Notre Dame will play in the Women’s National Championship game Sunday evening in Tampa.
