Murray State started the final round with a two shot lead on Eastern Kentucky and were five shots ahead of Rutgers. However, when then final round of the Jan Weaver Invitational at Miller Memorial Golf Course was over, the Racers dropped to third place with an 897 team total. Eastern Kentucky won the event with Rutgers finishing second.
Former University Heights standout Anna Moore finished second individually with a 216 score following a final round 75.
