KSP investigating Trigg County home invasion

Men posing as Trigg County sheriff’s deputies carried out a home invasion early Saturday morning.

Kentucky State Police is investigating and says it happened a little before 3 a.m. when two black males wearing what appeared to be law enforcement equipment knocked on the door of a Compton Road home and announced themselves as the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.

The two men then rushed inside along with two other black male suspects and detained the adults and juveniles in the home.

The suspects stole several items in the home before leaving in a vehicle in an unknown direction. No description of the vehicle was available, according to the KSP news release.

The residents of the home did not receive any injuries that required medical treatment.

Anyone with information on the incident should call KSP at 270-856-3721.

State Police was assisted at the scene by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department.
