Woman hurt in Pembroke Road accident

A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a rear-end collision Thursday morning on Pembroke Road.

It happened just after 6 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Cayce Mill Supply and Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Tony Sierra says a woman was slowing to allow a disabled vehicle in front of her to be pushed out of the roadway when she was struck in the rear by a pickup.

The woman whose vehicle was struck was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. The driver of the pickup was not injured and the occupants of the disabled vehicle had made it far enough off the road to not become involved in the accident.

Names of those involved have not been released.
