Two people were displaced by a cooking fire Thursday afternoon on Peppermint Drive.
The fire was contained to the kitchen area, but there was enough smoke damage elsewhere in the home at 3408 Peppermint that the two residents could not stay there, according to Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton.
The Red Cross was called to assist the displaced residents and no one was injured in the blaze.
