Cards’ Mikolas and Rockies’ Arenado to receive contract extensions

Multiple reports indicate the St. Louis Cardinals have reached a contract extension with pitcher Miles Mikolas. The deal is reportedly for four years and $68 million. Mikolas was 18-4 with a 2.83 ERA for St. Louis last season.

ESPN reports sources as saying the Colorado Rockies and third baseman Nolan Arenado are finalizing an eight year extension worth $260 million. The deal would be the highest annual salary for a position player at $32.5 million per year.
