Man hurt in accidental shooting in Crofton

A man was hurt in an accidental shooting incident in Christian County Tuesday afternoon.

According to Christian County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Chris Miller, the male victim was target shooting around 3 p.m. at a location on Bobby Stewart Road in Crofton when he was struck by a ricochet. The victim sustained a wound to the arm and chest and he was reportedly alert and conscious when first responders arrived.

The victim was flown by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, according to radio traffic.
