Man arrested on meth, heroin charges on Thomas Street

Hopkinsville Police arrested a man on Thomas Street Monday afternoon for heroin and methamphetamine charges.

Officers went to the 2600 block of Thomas regarding a suspicious person and made contact with 26-year old James Johnson of Hopkinsville, according to an arrest citation, which says he refused to remove his hands from his pockets.

Police say they found a small container with heroin and methamphetamine inside near Johnson’s person.

He was arrested and charged with trafficking meth, possession of heroin and tampering with evidence.
