Fire that began in the kitchen damaged a home on Greenville Road Thursday night.
Highland firefighters were called to the residence in the 2800 block of Greenville Road just after 10 p.m. and determined the resident had gotten out safely.
They were assisted by the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department in putting out the blaze and the cause remains under investigation.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
