Bitter cold brings more school closings, delays

The extreme old has brought about another round of school closures and delays.

Christian, Todd, Muhlenberg and Hopkins County Schools are closed Thursday, in addition to Dawson Springs Independent Schools, while Caldwell and Trigg County Schools are operating on a two-hour delay. Todd County will observe another non-traditional instruction day.

Heritage Christian Academy and Stewart County, Tennessee Schools remain closed for the remainder of the week due to illness.

There is hope on the horizon, as high temperatures will creep above freezing into the mid-30’s Thursday and then the mid 40’s Friday, the upper 50’s Saturday and perhaps the lower 60’s on Sunday.
