The Clarksville Police Department is investigating the theft of a funeral home van from Tennova Medical Center Wednesday afternoon.
According to a news release, personnel from a funeral home in Mississippi were parked at Tennova around 4:45 p.m. for a transport. The driver of the van reportedly left it unsecured and running in front of the hospital entrance while he went inside to complete arrangements.
When he returned a short time later, the van had been stolen. It was taken before the pickup service could be done.
The van is black in color with Affordable Funeral Service stickers on both sides and the rear of the vehicle. Anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle is asked to call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS.
