Five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a fatal shooting on Bethel Street and an Oak Grove man is sought.

As previously reported, officers were called to 1923 Bethel just after midnight Thursday morning and found 19-year old Dylan Stewart of Hopkinsville with a gunshot wound to the leg and 20-year old Corvyan Thomas of Hopkinsville unresponsive with a gunshot wound, according to the police report. Thomas died from his injuries and Stewart was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Investigation led to Hopkinsville Police arresting 21-year old James Joseph Yates and 20-year old Lane Carter of Hopkinsville on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.

Two juveniles were arrested for complicity to first-degree robbery and a third juvenile was arrested for first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Arrest citations for the adults say Carter drove the vehicle that took the suspects to the Bethel Street home and Yates entered the home during the robbery. One of the juveniles who was an active participant in the incident is 14-years old, according to the citation for Carter.

Hopkinsville Police are asking for the public’s help to locate 26-year old Shakkory Dashaun Willis of Oak Grove, who is wanted on a warrant for murder, first-degree robbery and unlawful transaction with a minor.
