Although the Pennyroyal Arts Council has recently had to move operations into the Alhambra Theatre, that hasn’t stopped their mission to help the arts flourish in Hopkinsville.
Executive Director Margaret Prim says a small electrical fire at their previous headquarters, the L&N Depot on East Ninth Street, has forced them to relocate into the Alhambra Theatre due to safety concerns.
She says she’s not sure what the plan for the L&N Depot is, but for the foreseeable future the Arts Council will work out of the theatre.
Speaking on the recent appointment of Becky Green as assistant director, Prim says Green is a good fit for the agency.
Prim says the Arts Council will continue to promote and bring the arts to the Hopkinsville and Christian County, and future events can be found by liking the Arts Council or Alhambra Theatre on Facebook.
