A hit and run rear-end collision Friday afternoon at East Ninth Street and the railroad crossing injured a local woman.
The collision report from Public Safety Officer Cassidy Woods says 59-year old Carolyn Sitz of Hopkinsville stopped behind a school bus that was crossing the tracks at about 3 p.m. and her pickup was rear-ended by a vehicle.
The driver of that automobile got out briefly, but then reentered the vehicle and fled the scene.
Sitz was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of back pain.
