An Elkton Police officer sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner investigated and determined Officer Keilo Jefferson had been headed home after his shift and was traveling on KY 104 when he swerved to miss a deer and lost control of his cruiser.
The car traveled up an embankment and overturned.
Officer Jefferson was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
