Unemployment down slightly last month in Kentucky

Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted December unemployment rate was down slightly from November and from one year ago.

It came in at 4.4 percent, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. That was down from the 4.5 percent reported for November.

The jobless rate was also down a tenth of a point from the 4.5 percent recorded for the state in December 2017.

The U.S. seasonally adjusted jobless rate for December was 3.9 percent, up two tenths from November, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.
