MLK Breakfast to focus on home ownership

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend will feature a new local event Saturday when Focus 21st Century and the Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission hosts a breakfast in Dr. King’s honor.

It will be 9 a.m. Saturday at the Christian County Extension Office on Pembroke Road and the public is invited to attend. Human Relations Commission Director Bernard Standard says the featured speaker is an expert on home ownership—a cause that was near and dear to the heart of Dr. King.

Tom Bell with Focus 21st Century says there will be a workshop to learn more about getting the home ownership process started following the breakfast.

The public is invited to attend the breakfast, which is sponsored by Planters Bank.
