Two hurt in Ashland City Road collision

Two people were injured in a crash in the intersection of Ashland City Road and East Old Ashland City Road Wednesday in Clarksville.

That’s according to the Clarksville Police Department, which states in a news release around 11:30 a.m. a vehicle driven by a 25-year old female was travelling south on East Old Ashland City Road when she applied her brakes to stop at a stop sign.

Her brakes reportedly failed and she continued into the intersection, striking a vehicle driven by a 39-year old male, causing his vehicle to overturn onto its roof. The male victim and a female passenger were taken to Tennova Health Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, but she was cited for improper equipment. The names of those involved have not yet been released.
