Kentucky State Police is reminding you to plan a safe and sober ride home if you intend to consume alcohol this holiday weekend or on New Year’s Eve.
State Trooper Corey King says there’s no good reason to drive drunk when there are so many options to get home safely.
There is an increased police presence on Kentucky roads during the holiday driving period looking to take impaired drivers off the road, but you could go to prison for murder if you kill someone else while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Motorists can also expect to see police from multiple agencies setting up safety checkpoints in high volume traffic areas.
