Fire destroys home near Cerulean

Fire destroyed a home near Cerulean Wednesday night.

The call of fire at 742 Hopson Store Road came out shortly after 6:30 p.m. and firefighters arrived to find the structure already fully engulfed in flames.

Cerulean Fire Chief Denise Brashears says two people were displaced by the fire, but no one was injured. The Red Cross was called to assist the residents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
