Multiple indictments returned for assault, robbery

Multiple indictments were returned by a Christian County Grand Jury Friday, including several for assault and first-degree robbery.

Indicted for first-degree assault is 32-year old Travis Thomas of Hopkinsville, who allegedly severely assaulted Jamarvis Allen at a gathering on Younglove Street in July, in complicity with DeCoryone Forte and Timothy Brown. The resulting injuries reportedly left the victim on life support. Allen had reportedly attempted to intervene in a verbal argument to keep it from becoming physical, which is when Thomas and the others allegedly assaulted him.

Thomas was also indicted for first-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief that an incident that occurred in October, where he allegedly entered a female victim’s residence and punched her in the face. He reportedly also stuck his fingers in her mouth, causing bleeding and then stole her cellphone and $50 before leaving, kicking the headlight out of her vehicle as he left.

Indicted for first-degree assault, fourth-degree assault and possession of marijuana is 57-year old Christopher Goode of Hopkinsville, who allegedly beat his mother with a cane in October, repeatedly striking her in the head and hands, causing serious physical injury. He also allegedly got into a physical altercation with his juvenile son, hitting him in the face with a closed fist.

 

Indicted for first-degree robbery are 18-year old Trevarius Daniel and 18-year old Jaylynn Cheatham, both of Hopkinsville, for allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint on Brown Street in October. Cheatham allegedly brandished a handgun and asked her if she had anything for them. The report says when the woman showed them she had empty pockets the two men left the area and went back into a home down the street.

18-year old Trejan Hillsbury of Hopkinsville is indicted on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor. In complicity with a juvenile, Hillsbury allegedly robbed a 13-year old victim, threatening to shoot the victim with a handgun.  They allegedly stole an Xbox gaming system and the child’s backpack, along with $200 from the victim’s mother’s room.
