Sheryl Ellis has been chosen by the board of directors as the next President and CEO of the Hopkinville-Christian County YMCA.
Ellis previously worked for the Kentucky New Era for more than 30 years, working her way up to the most recent position of vice president and general manager. She is a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a degree in Business Management.
Chief Volunteer Officer Spencer Kilijian is quoted in a news release as saying, “We are pleased to welcome Sheryl to the Hopkinsville-Christian County Family YMCA. She is well known in our community, and brings a broad set of skills developed throughout her career. We are excited for what the future holds with Sheryl as the YMCA’s leader.”
She will officially begin her duties on January 7th.
