Man arrested for meth trafficking, heroin possession

An investigation on North Main Street Monday evening led to the arrest of a local man for methamphetamine trafficking.

Officer Gary Hicks went to a home in the 400 block of North Main about 6:45 p.m. for an unrelated incident and saw 30-year old Bryson Lumbard of Hopkinsville run from a car into the residence.

The homeowner gave consent to search and police say they found Lumbard hiding behind a television.

A K9 alerted on Lumbard’s vehicle and a search allegedly revealed lockbox containing 7 grams of meth, a loaded syringe, a small bag of heroin and other drug paraphernalia.

Lumbard was arrested and charged with trafficking in meth, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served with a warrant for probation violation.
