HPD stops burglary, arrests man on meth charges

Hopkinsville Police stopped a burglary in progress on Braden Street Monday afternoon and arrested a man on drug-related charges.

Officers located 48-year old William David Landers of Hopkinsville inside an abandoned residence at 402 Braden Street and an arrest citation says he was carrying two syringes.

Police say he also had a razor switch blade in his pocket. He was arrested and personnel at the jail located a small package of methamphetamine on his person.

Landers is charged with first-degree burglary, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and promoting contraband.
