Christian County Relay for Life will be hosting their annual Remembrance Tree ceremony this coming Saturday at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Speaking with WHOP News, Relay organizer Pam Futrell says the ceremony will start at 2 p.m. in the Jennie Stuart Medical Mall where they will have speakers and read a list of names of those who have been victims of cancer.
She says people can buy ornaments for $5 to place on the tree in honor of a loved one.
Futrell says people can call her at 270-498-1778 if they have any names that want to make sure are read during the ceremony and she will be there at 1 p.m. before the ceremony Saturday to take names or if anyone wants to purchase an ornament.
All money raised from this event goes to benefit Christian County Relay for Life, which goes on to fund research, treatment and other services for locals battling the disease.
