Two middle Tennessee men were arrested on multiple charges Monday afternoon following a pursuit in Logan County.

Russellville Police were notified that a man had entered Farmers Hardware and taken a jig saw and drill with a combined value of about $640. He left the store in a vehicle driven by another individual and their car was soon spotted turning onto the Emerson Bypass.

They did not stop when an officer turned on his blue lights and reached high speeds as they traveled several roads before finally crashing on the Russellville Bypass at Herndon Road.

The two suspects, 32-year old William Courtney Johnson of Clarksville and 27-year old Harley Daniel Bronaugh of Cumberland Furnace, were arrested by Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Brent. They are both charged with felony theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing or evading police, multiple counts of wanton endangerment and they were served with warrants from other agencies.
