Cowen Halvorson
Both drivers were arrested for DUI following an injury wreck Friday night on North Drive.
The collision report from Hopkinsville Police says 31-year old Nathan Cowen of Hopkinville was headed northbound near Richard Street and 26-year old Nancy Halvorson of Hopkinsville was southbound when the front ends of their vehicles crashed near the center line.
Both drivers said the other came into their lane of travel and both vehicles sustained severe damage.
Cowen’s passenger, 56-year old Sherri Wiggleton of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
Cowen and Halvorson were arrested for DUI, with alcohol listed as a factor for both drivers.
Cowen was additionally charged with terroristic threatening, menacing and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threatened the lives of the police officers and their families while being seen at the hospital.
