Vandy guard Garland out for rest of basketball season

Vanderbilt University announced today freshman guard Darius Garland will miss the rest of the season due to a meniscus injury suffered in last Friday night’s game against Kent State. The Nashville native, who had already been named SEC Freshman of the Week for his play this season, played in five games averaging 16.2 points per game. Garland scored 33 points against Liberty on November 19, the most by an SEC player this season.
