Boys: Defending 2nd region champion University Heights opened its season with a 77-59 win over Murray High at Blazer Gym. Xavier signee KyKy Tandy led the Blazers with 22 points and Drew McGowan added 20, which included four three pointers. The Blazers return to action Friday night facing Callaway, MS at the Marshall County Hoopfest.
Other scores: Dawson Springs drubbed Christian Fellowship 77-41 and Graves County dumped Livingston Central 80-49.
Girls: Crittenden County routed Fort Campbell 57-13, Dawson Springs dumped Christian Fellowship 51-16, Todd Central topped McLean County 48-45, Logan County eased by Warren East 52-48, Russellville over Warren Central 59-45, Webster County routed Evansville Bosse 76-44 and Henderson County edged Apollo 52-47,
