Police in Muhlenberg County fatally shot an armed suspect Friday morning.
Kentucky State Police received a call about 8:50 a.m. to assist the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department regarding a terroristic threatening complaint on Park Street in Bremen, according to a news release.
Troopers Rob Austin and Justin Cornett responded—along with Muhlenberg Deputy Jeremy Rose and Central City Officer Duane Davenport.
Those officers made contact with 46-year old Christopher Anderson of Bremen, who was in a vehicle parked in a private drive at 60 Park Street.
Police say Anderson got out of the car with a gun and a confrontation ensued with multiple shots fired.
Anderson was fatally shot by officers and was pronounced deceased by the Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office.
As per policy, Trooper Austin and Trooper Cornett have been placed on administrative leave.
