A pedestrian was killed Wednesday night in an accident on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway in Clarksville.
It happened just after 6 p.m., according to Clarksville Police, who say a 35-year old male pedestrian wearing dark clothes attempted to walk across the westbound lanes near Economy Drive.
He walked into the path of a car driven by a 52-year old female, who was unable to avoid striking him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the car was not hurt. No charges have been filed against the motorist.
Police have not released the victim’s name.
