Two people were arrested on methamphetamine-related charges Saturday night following an investigation on Florence Street.

Officers went to 2716 Florence to check the welfare of individuals possibly using narcotics and found 42-year old Jessie Williams of Big Rock, Tennessee and 25-year old Kelsie Comperry of Hopkinsville inside a vehicle in the driveway with the windows rolled down.

An arrest citation says Williams quickly closed the windows when he saw police.

Comperry admitted to having methamphetamine in her clothes and paraphernalia in her purse and Williams said he had meth, a scale and pipe in the center console.

Williams was arrested for trafficking in meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Comperry was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and giving officers a false name. She was also served with warrants for failure to appear in court and contempt of court.
