Nashville man arrested for local robbery

Hopkinsville Police served an arrest warrant for first-degree robbery Saturday  night against a Nashville man accused in a local incident from earlier this year.

It alleges that on May 20th, 24-year old Shamir Williams of Nashville participated in a robbery where he and two juveniles stole an Xbox video game system from the victim’s hands. Williams was the driver of the vehicle and allegedly ran over a bystander’s foot while fleeing from the robbery.

Police say Williams listed the Xbox for sale online approximately four to five hours after the alleged robbery.

He is charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, in addition to the robbery count.
