Shot fired into East 21st Street home, no injuries

No one was injured when shots were fired from a handgun towards an East 21st Street home in Hopkinsville just before 11 o’clock Wednesday night.

Four 9 mm shell casings were located on the south side of 401 Hancock Street and one of the bullets entered the rear wall of a home in the 300 block of East 21st. The bullet went into the master bedroom and came to rest in a closet wall.

There were at least three people at the home, including a woman and child on the bed, but none of them were struck by the bullet.

A witness who was outdoors heard as many as eight shots fired in total.
