The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a wreck on Hopkinsville Road Wednesday that killed a Nortonville man.
According to a news release, a vehicle operated by 72-year old Kenneth Dalton of Nortonville had been traveling south on Hopkinsville Road around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. At the same time, another vehicle driven by 28-year old Cody Morgan of Madisonville was traveling northbound. Dalton reportedly crossed over the center line for an unknown reason during heavy rain and the two collided.
Dalton was pronounced deceased at the scene. Morgan was uninjured and refused treatment.
