After advancing to the KMEA Marching Band State Finals for the fourth year in a row, the Hopkinsville High School Band of Tigers claimed fourth in the state Saturday night.
First place went to South Laurel High School, second to Madisonville North Hopkins and third to Anderson County High School. Hopkinsville High wasn’t the only local school to advance to state competition this year, as they were joined by Christian County High School and Trigg County High School.
The KMEA State Competition comes at the end of a long season for all schools, filled with hard work and dedication and all bands should feel pride in what they have accomplished.
