A traffic light is coming to the northern intersection of Eagle Way Bypass and the Pennyrile Parkway and a left turn arrow is being added to the lights at Canton Pike and the Bypass.

There have been several accidents at the Parkway interchange and an Oak Grove woman was killed in a collision there last month. State Representative Walker Thomas is Vice Chair of the House Transportation Committee and says the Transportation Cabinet has agreed to install a light after conducting its own study of the intersection.

That light is expected to be installed in late December or early January.

Meanwhile, it was an accident in August that injured four people at Canton Pike and the Bypass that precipitated a study of that intersection.

That crash happened when a southbound driver on the Bypass attempted to turn left onto 272 and drove into the path of a northbound vehicle. Installation of the left-turn arrows is expected sometime next month.
