Ribbon cut at Dunkin’ Donuts-Baskin Robins

Dunkin’ Donuts-Baskin Robins on Fort Campbell Boulevard has been open for a few weeks in Hopkinsville and the Christian County Chamber of Commerce helped officially cut the ribbon to welcome the company to the community Friday morning.

Ray Omar is the franchise owner and presented $500 donations to the Fisher House on Fort Campbell and to the Boys and Girls Club of Hopkinsville-Christian County.

Omar is a veteran of the 5th Special Forces at Fort Campbell and says he was excited at the opportunity to return to the area with Dunkin’ Donuts-Baskin Robins.

Among those on hand for the ribbon cutting was Helen Brown, who owned and operated the previous incarnation of Baskin Robins in Hopkinsville for 17 years.

Their grand opening is Saturday, when there will be free samples of coffee and discounted prices on ice cream from 10 until 2.
