There will be a new lead defense attorney in the case of David Markle, who is charged with murder in the shooting death of Justin Fish.
Defense attorney Bill Maddux represents Markle, who appeared in the Christian Circuit Courtroom of Judge Andrew Self Wednesday afternoon, and told the court that he is arranging meetings with potential experts to evaluate Markle but there will be different lawyer taking the lead on Markle’s case.
A new trial date of March 11 was recently set, and Maddux requested another pretrial hearing be set for January 9 so they could have a status update to keep things on track, which Judge Self granted.
Markle is charged with murder. He allegedly knocked on the door of Fish’s Calvin Drive Home in 2015 and then shot him when he answered.
