Todd Fiscal Court receives $100k for Tabernacle Road resurfacing work

Todd County Fiscal Court has been awarded just over $100,000 for pavement work on Tabernacle Road.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced $100,075 in discretionary funds received by Todd County for resurfacing work on Tabernacle Road. A news release says the county will receive reimbursement for repairs to correct large sections of roadway cracking and potholes.

Tabernacle Road goes from US 68 to Butler Road and Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield calls it a vital connector for many Todd County citizens. He also thanked Governor Matt Bevin, Representative Jason Petrie and the Transportation Cabinet for making the funding possible.

Officials say the pavement had been damaged by harsh winters and episodes of flooding.

State Senator Whitney Westerfield says, “The Transportation Cabinet’s investment to maintain this road provides safe and reliable access for residents, buses and businesses who depend on it daily to get to what matters most to them.”
