CSX Railroad continues its work on railroad crossing in Hopkinsville and will be closing East Ninth Street at the crossing Tuesday evening.
According to a news release, there will be a marked detour via the East Seventh Street crossing. CSX is expected to close East Ninth at promptly 6 p.m. Tuesday and it is expected to remain closed for two to three days.
Motorists who regularly travel US 41-East Ninth Street in Downtown Hopkinsville should be aware of this planned rail crossing closure and allow extra travel time to negotiate the marked detour.
