Today is the first official day of practice for the 2018-19 season. The Cats Pause Yearbook has listed its favorites to win the regions this season.
Boys: University Heights is the pick in the 2nd region followed by Madisonville, Hopkinsville, Christian County and Webster County in the top five. Mayfield is the pick to win the 1st region, Breckinridge County in the 3rd region and Warren Central is the favorite in the 4th region.
University Heights senior KyKy Tandy is also listed as one of the top candidates for Kentucky Mr. Basketball in the Cats Pause High School preview.
Girls: Webster County is the pick in the 2nd region with Christian County second, Hopkinsville third, Henderson County fourth, Caldwell County fifth and University Heights is 10th.
Calloway County is the favorite in the 1st region, Owensboro Catholic in the 3rd region and Barren County in the 4th region.
Christian County’s Aaliyah Hampton is listed as one of the top candidates for Kentucky Miss Basketball in the Cats Pause High School preview.
