Preds blank Jets 3-0 & Watson’s suspension reduced

Pekka Rinne turned back all 29 shots he faced as the Nashville Predators shutout the Winnipeg Jets 3-0 at Bridgestone Arena. Ryan Hartman, Roman Josi and Ryan Johansen each found the back of the net for Nashville in the winning effort. The Preds continue their four-game home stand tomorrow night against the New York Islanders. The Predators are 3-1-and-0.

Meanwhile, the Predators got some good news Thursday as forward Austin Watson is returning to the ice sooner than expected. Watson’s 27-game suspension was trimmed down to 18 games. The 26-year-old pleaded no-contest to a domestic assault charge with his girlfriend in June. He is eligible to return November 15th against the Arizona Coyotes.
