Russellville man arrested on meth charges

A traffic stop in Logan County Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Russellville man on drug charges.

Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Brent stopped a pickup driven by 35-year old Timothy Lyon of Russellville after observing him making a sharp curve on Plainview Church Road in the opposite lane of traffic, according to a news release.

Police say Lyon appeared to be under the influence of a substance and he gave consent to search his pickup. A glass pipe containing a white powder residue that tested positive for methamphetamine was allegedly located and Lyon was arrested for possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
