Tuesday is deadline to register to vote in upcoming election

Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in the upcoming November 6th general election.

Party affiliation doesn’t matter in a general election, but Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan says you must be on the voter roll by close of business Tuesday if you want to cast a ballot.

Todd County voters who know they won’t be able to make it to their polling place between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. November 6th and those who are disabled can vote absentee on the machine at the courthouse starting October 19th.

The absentee machine at the Christian County Courthouse will be available on October 15th and the Christian County Clerk’s Office is also accepting applications for mail-in absentee ballots.

O’Bryan reminds that the Guthrie precinct has moved to the new fire department, the Allensville precinct to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and the Trenton polling place will be at the new fire department building.

More information on voting and sample ballots are available on the Kentucky Secretary of State website.
