As the City of Hopkinsville comes closer to being named a ‘tree city’, the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission is continuing its mission to enhance the city.
Beautification Coordinator Heather Braun says with the completion of their Arbor Day Festival in September, the city is one step closer to receiving the tree city designation.
She says during the winter months, she hopes to replace the flowers downtown with holiday-themed decorations.
Braun says they are looking for sponsors of those decorations, and anyone interested can contact her at 270-498-1555.
The City of Hopkinsville recognized Freudenberg Filtration Technologies for their recent beautification project at the Farmer’s Market downtown. Employees picked up trash, raked, weeded flower beds and planted around 200 new flowers in the area, as the city geared up for the Hopkinsville Harvest Festival that was held.
