CCHS Colonel Band takes first in competition

The Christian County High School Colonel Band is celebrating this week, as they took home the title of Grand Champion from a Saturday competition.

The band took part in two competitions that day and was named Grand Champion of the Inaugural Band Between the Lakes Invitational in Dover, Tennessee. They also won best overall color guard and best percussion. Trigg County High School claimed the runner up spot.

Earlier in the day in Bowling Green Warren East Invitational, the Colonel Band received first place in their class, best overall percussion and third place overall.

Saturday, Christian County will host eight bands at the Stadium of Champions for the Tournament of Bands, begging at 10:30 a.m. with awards presented at 1:45 p.m.
