Fifth suspect sought in Todd County murder

A fifth suspect is sought in connection with the murder of a man Sunday afternoon on Stateline Road in Todd County.

Kentucky State Police is asking for the public’s help to locate 41-year old Douglas Ray Cropper of Oakland, who is sought for complicity to murder and tampering with evidence.

An arrest warrant for another suspect says Cropper provided 31-year old Daniel Westbrook with the handgun he used to shoot 47-year old Jerry Robertson three times.

Police say Robertson died at the scene after Cropper, Westbrook, 26-year old Brandi Scruggs, 22-year old Faith Martin and 36-year old Timmie Latham fled the area in a pickup.

Scruggs and Westbrook were arrested early Wednesday morning in Logan County and Martin and Latham were arrested later in the morning in Hart County.

Police believe that Scruggs lured Robertson to the spot just north of KY 848 near Allensville and that the driver of the pickup passed their car and stopped to block its lane of travel.

Cropper is described as a white male, standing 5-8 and weighing approximately 230 lbs. with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone knowing his whereabouts should call KSP Post 2 at 270-676-3313.
